The AMC Classic theater at Woodbridge Village Center is undergoing major upgrades for reopening in August.

The renovation will include reclining seats, remodeled restrooms, new paint and carpets, a refreshed concessions stand and a small bar. The five-screen cinema has been a staple of the Woodbridge community since it opened in 1980.

Irvine Company reinvested $30 million in 2018 to renovate the center. Enhancements included a new 1-acre plaza with views of North Lake.
