Matt Meddock grew up hanging out at Woodbridge Village Center. So when he heard that Irvine Company was investing millions in the center, he called immediately.

Meddock is co-founder of Sessions West Coast Deli, a hip, gourmet sandwich shop. He opened his first Sessions on the Balboa Peninsula in 2014 and a second location in Huntington Beach in 2015. And after Woodbridge Village Center was renovated in 2018, he saw it as the perfect opportunity to open his third Sessions.

“We do more sales in Irvine than the Newport and Huntington stores combined,” said Matt. “That speaks volumes about how the Woodbridge community has taken us in.”

The Sessions patio has views of North Lake and a fire pit for ambiance at night. “You can grab a glass of wine or beer and hang out as the sun is going down,” he added.

The success of the Woodbridge location has helped Meddock open several new locations in Orange County, including Fashion Island in Newport Beach.
