UCI Research Park Master Plan Update

A proposed new community within UCI Research Park would provide much-needed housing just steps from thousands of jobs at the office park and the UCI campus.

UCI Research Park spans 185 acres with 2.2 million-square-feet of office space that connects innovative businesses with UC Irvine’s leading researchers and STEM talent. It is home to about 75 companies. Residents would also live steps from the San Diego Creek Trail and a 60-acre nature preserve.

The new community is in the early stages of planning and will move through the city’s review process with City Council consideration anticipated in early 2025. The first homes could be available in 2027.
