A refresh of Amazon Fresh at The Market Place
Amazon Fresh at The Market Place is showing off an upgrade of its inventory and features – just in time for the holidays.
“We obsess over our customers and are constantly listening to their feedback to find ways to improve our grocery offerings,” says Claire Peters, worldwide vice president of Amazon Fresh.
To expand on its best-in-class shopping experience, the Irvine store has introduced over 2,000 new national and private-label products, including local favorites such as Tapatio Hot Sauce, Health-Ade Kombucha and beers from Modern Times and Pizza Port.
You’ll find more international flavors and a new station of specialty cheeses and gourmet items for entertaining – as well as a “Fruit Freebies for Kids” program, which allows kids to pick up a free piece of fruit to enjoy while shopping. Also, a Krispy Kreme Doughnut shop has been added to the store, offering their famous hot glazed donuts.
The store offers other creative options for convenience and real-time flexibility, Peters says. For instance, you can order online for home delivery the same day or days later. Or, order online for free curbside pickup.
For in-person shoppers, customers now have the option to use the latest version of the Dash Cart, a smart shopping cart that makes it easier to shop the store, discover new items, find the best deals and skip the checkout line. The cart offers features like real-time receipts and the ability to weigh produce directly in the cart’s basket.
Amazon has also installed self-checkout, offering customers even more choice when checking out.
